Since we use XML for the configuration file format, we can write XSLT to perform upgrades from one version of the file format to the next.

Task details:

I have been trying to keep my XSLT knowledge fresh, and I find that writing these transforms helps me review XSLT. However, they tend to take longer to write than I would prefer.
