I finally got through some configure problems, Lots of thanks Patrick. The problem was in configure when I tried to do an AC_TRY_LINK against the VRPN library. configure compiles and links all in one command and it puts the file that is being built at the end fo the command, but linking against a static library requires that the file comes between the compile and link directives. So I had to go with a less accurate test of AC_CHECK_HEADER which just checks to see if a header exists. OK, well after all that I updated the stuff that Anthony Steed sent us to work with the new way that Gadgeteer loads stuff dynamically and updated everything that needed to be API wise. And now it compiles - Yeah - and I am trying to test it, but I am getting link errors when I try to compile the sample apps. It is mostly likely because I'm out of date with the latest source. After updated and getting a sample app to link. I'll test out the vrpn device and see how it goes?? -- JoshBrown - 02 Mar 2003
