Full story
The Performer Draw Manager has been lagging behind the OpenGL Draw Manager. In some cases, features have existed in the OGL Draw Manager for over two years that still have not been incorporated into the Performer Draw Manager. This must be resolved before 2.0.0 is released, and since some additions may require refactoring other parts of the code, it would be good to get it into shape for 2.0 Beta 1.

Tasks in this story
Task details:
For keyboard and mouse input in Performer graphics windows, Allen says he knows how to do it, but he doesn't have time. He needs to impart his wisdom onto someone else so that this can get done. This item is listed on SourceForge as Bug #835108.
The primary difficulty for this task is that it will involve completely refactoring the way the OpenGL? keyboard input works. The new method will look more like an older version of the code did but will have to incorporate some things I have learned about how to do all this X event handling in multiple threads without crashing the system.
