Full story
Major changes have been made since DR3 with the handling of units. Internally, VR Juggler and Gadgeteer are using meters for all spatial units. This means that surface viewports need to have their corners changed to be in meters, and positional devices & position proxies need to be updated to include position filter information.
Implementation notes
Tasks in this story
Task details:
For the C6 testing, I tested wand, cubes, and OpenSGNav (using OpenSG from their CVS repository as of late November 2002). I had to modify cubes to allocate one order of magnitude fewer buffers for statistics collection. --PH
The relative sim position code may not be working. Its use is demonstrated in standalone.config and simstandalone.config which have been behaving oddly. For example, in the CVS version of standalone.config, the wand is never visible. Backing off to a previous revision makes it visible, but the over-the-shoulder camera is not posistioned correctly.
In my second round of OpenGL application testing in the C6, I tested wand and cubes using NSPR, SPROC, and POSIX. All worked fine, and the scaling looked the way I expected. --PH
Simulator with the IS900 was tested for the demo of the MMA app this past week.
